The Main GUI is your primary interface in File Replicator.

Step 1 – Select Folder
- Select the destination folder to search in: – Use the Browse... button to select a destination folder to run a search in.
- Lock Field – Unlocks the destination folder field so you can edit it directly or paste a path in yourself. This option is only available in Advanced Mode.
- Clear Field (Alt+C) – Clears the destination folder field.
- Browse... (Alt+B) – Selects a destination folder to run a search in.
Step 2 – Select File
- Select the source file: – Use the Browse... button to select a source file to search for in the destination folder.
- Local/Network (Alt+T) – Use a local or mapped network drive (ex. C:) for the source file.
- URL (Alt+L) – Use a URL for the source file. Only the http:// format is supported at this time. File Replicator will download the file to the replicating PC before starting an operation.
- Lock Field – Unlocks the source file field so you can edit it directly or paste a path in yourself. This option is only available in Advanced Mode.
- Clear Field (Alt+F) – Clears the source file field.
- Browse... (Alt+W)/Specify... (Alt+P) – Selects a source file to use for the operation. You can use a Local/Network drive/path or a URL.
Step 3 – Select Search Type
- Search and Replace (Alt+S) – Runs a search operation and a replacement operation.
- Search Only (Alt+O) – Runs a search operation only.
Mode
- The Mode box displays the current mode File Replicator is running in. There are two options – Standard and Advanced. The File Replicator mode can be changed in the Options GUI.
Other Commands
- Search (Alt+S) – Takes your selections and uses them to run a search operation.
- Exit (Alt+E) – Exits the script.
