Finally done

It is overdue and probably was in BETA for too long, but Simple Text Viewer v1.0.0 has finally been released. I should have released it last year, but time got away from me and there were several multi month gaps between releases.

I now will turn my focus to moving Dir Clean along. I have quite a bit of work ahead of me on the roadmap for that script.

Quite a few things to share

I finally got around to completing some long overdue updates for my Released Scripts. CHKDSK Assist v1.6.1, File Replicator v1.2.1 and Remove Script Settings v1.5.1 have been released. They were delayed by an issue with one of my programs that is used to build the content for my scripts.

I have also posted Simple Text Viewer v0.6.0 (RC0). The next release of that script will be the final v1.0.0 release.

Quick update

Sidebar Restart v1.2.0 has been released.

I'm back

Due to some unexpected computer and server issues it has taken me much longer than expected to post this update to the site. I would like to announce that I've completed my Windows 7 testing and all scripts now support that OS. I also would like to report that I no longer have a Windows Vista test PC so while support for that OS is not going away any time soon I will be unable to test any of my scripts on that OS.

Script Setup Utility v2.6.1 has been released and all installers have been updated to use the new version. Simple Text Viewer v0.5.0 (BETA 5) has been released as well, which includes quite a few changes. I'm getting pretty close to a non-BETA release for that script. Finally, I've posted a new Released script, Sidebar Restart. It is a simple script that I whipped up to restart the Windows Vista/7 sidebar.

Some updates and Windows 7 info

Simple Text Viewer v0.4.2 (BETA 4b) and Dir Clean v0.3.0 (BETA 3) have been released. I also have released Script Setup Utility v2.5.0, which fixes a long standing undiscovered bug where the installer would ignore any custom Start Menu location. All installer downloads have been updated to this new version.

I also would like give a status update on Windows 7 support. I still have not done any official testing on the platform, and hope to complete it yet this week. Script Setup Utility is the only item on this website that officially supports Windows 7 at this time. Support in my remaining scripts is forthcoming.

A quick update

Simple Text Viewer v0.4.1 (BETA 4a) and Dir Clean v0.2.1 (BETA 2a) have been released.

New stuff!

I have updated Simple Text Viewer to v0.4.0 (BETA 4). I have switched to a new version format for BETA releases, so if the installer tells you that is an older version just say yes to install. There are quite a few changes for this release. The installer uses the latest Script Setup Utility v2.3.0, and I will be updating the other scripts to this version as they are updated themselves.

I have also released another BETA script, Dir Clean v0.2.0 (BETA 2). It is a script I created to clean up temporary files and folders.

Any feedback on either script (as well as any of my other scripts) is appreciated. I would also like to point out that I will be testing on Windows 7 soon, so support for that OS should be forthcoming.

A note about Windows 7...

Finally an update! I want to point out that all of my scripts support Windows XP and Windows Vista, but are untested on Windows 7. They may work just fine, they may not. I won't able to test them until I get Windows 7 later this month. I have updated the Info pages for both my Released and BETA scripts to include OS support info.

Script development (and updates to this site) has slowed to a crawl, as I haven't had much time to work on them. I have tons of ideas and things I want to do but time is an issue right now. Hopefully I will have some updates posted soon.

Welcome!

Welcome to my new website! Construction is still in progress so some parts of the website may change a bit over the next few weeks. Take a look around.

To celebrate the posting of my newest website version I have released new versions of every script on the site! Enjoy!
